Western Region

Western Region Officers
Western Region Vice-President Jim Britton, and Administrative Vice-Presidents Wendy Sol and Don Boucher at CEP's October 2010 National Convention in Toronto

The Western Region covers the four western provinces, the Yukon and Northwest Territories. Here, CEP represents about 40,000 members who work virtually all sectors and industries. We have both public and private sector workers. (Public sector are municipal government employees, provincial employees (school board support staff) as well as provincial crown corporation employees). Major sectors include pulp, paper and converting, energy workers (oil and oil refining, natural gas, and electricity), communications (TV, radio and newspaper), media and graphics, as well as construction.
